This Cookie Policy explains how Synth Narrative Studio Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on synthnarrative.pro (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Site after interacting with our cookie banner, you consent to the use of cookies as described below, except where your browser or banner choice limits optional categories.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the Site function, remember preferences, and — if you opt in — support aggregated analytics. We do not use cookies to sell personal information.

2. Cookie consent banner

When you first visit the Site, a banner offers three choices: Accept all, Reject all, or Customise. Essential cookies are always active because the Site cannot operate without them. Analytics and marketing cookies load only if you accept all or enable them in the customise panel.

Your choice is stored in a cookie named sn_cookie_consent for six months. After six months, the banner may appear again so you can review or change preferences. You may also clear cookies through your browser settings at any time, which resets stored consent.

3. Categories of cookies

3.1 Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for core Site functionality and cannot be disabled through our banner. They include:

• sn_cookie_consent — stores your cookie preference JSON (essential, analytics, marketing flags) and timestamp. Duration: six months. Purpose: honour your consent choice without asking on every page load.
• Session and security cookies — may be set by our hosting provider for load balancing, HTTPS enforcement, or abuse protection. Duration: session or short-term. Purpose: secure delivery of pages and form submissions.

3.2 Analytics cookies (optional)

If you consent to analytics, we may deploy privacy-oriented analytics tools that collect aggregated usage data such as pages visited, referral source, approximate geography at region level, device type, and session duration. Analytics cookies help us understand whether Site content is useful and diagnose performance issues. They are not used to build advertising profiles on this Site.

You may withdraw analytics consent by reopening the customise panel if available, clearing cookies and selecting reject on return, or contacting [email protected].

3.3 Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies — including third-party advertising or remarketing pixels — are disabled by default. We currently do not run active remarketing campaigns on the Site. If we introduce marketing pixels in future, they will remain behind opt-in consent and this Policy will be updated with specific vendor names and retention periods.

We may use local storage or session storage in JavaScript to support UI behaviour such as mobile navigation state. These mechanisms store data locally in your browser and are not transmitted to third parties except as part of normal Site delivery through our host.

Third-party cookies are subject to those providers' policies. We review subprocessors for reasonable security and data handling practices before engagement.

Do Not Track signals are not uniformly standardized; we respond to explicit choices made through our cookie banner rather than automatic DNT headers.

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove technologies, change vendors, or respond to legal developments. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after updates constitutes acknowledgment where permitted by law.
